Understanding your Offer Statement and Acceptance Agreement
The information given in your Offer Statement and Acceptance Agreement is important. Please take some time to read it carefully.

- Conditions: If you have a Conditional Offer the conditions are clearly outlined in your Offer Statement and Acceptance Agreement. Please fulfil all conditions (if any) before accepting your Offer.
Conditions may include: providing proof of English Language Proficiency (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL or successful completion of the PEP), completion of academic qualifications (e.g. graduation certificates) or provision of official documents (e.g. original or certified copies of your documents).

Following this process and correctly completing the required forms ensures the smooth and efficient processing of your Acceptance and the issuing of your COE (Confirmation of Enrolment).

ALL postgraduate coursework programs offered by the Faculty of the Professions |
Bridging Program: all incoming students enrolled in programs under the Faculty of the Professions must participate in the two-week Bridging Program held in the two weeks prior to the commencement of official classes. The only exceptions are those students who have studied at a University in Australia previously or those who will be enrolling in a Pre-Enrolment English Program. The Bridging Program includes course advice and enrolment sessions and is designed to introduce new international students to the cultural, social and academic conventions of study at the University of Adelaide. Continuing support is available throughout the academic program in the form of seminars and individual consultations. The provision of learning support is part of the service provided to international students, to assist and encourage their success. Students who do not arrive in time for the Bridging Program will have to defer their study to the next available semester. |
| Bachelor of Design Studies (with Architectural Studies or Landscape Studies major) packaged with the Master of Architecture (coursework) and/or Master of Landscape Architecture | Students wishing to practice as an architect in a country other than Australia: it is the responsibility of the student to ensure that the program of architecture study undertaken at the University of Adelaide, including advanced standing granted for prior learning, meets the requirements for professional recognition in the country in which you wish to gain professions recognition. |
| Bachelor of Laws | To be admitted into practice in South Australia, students must complete such practical legal training as may be approved or prescribed by the Legal Practitioners' Education and Admission Council (LPEAC). Such training will be conducted by the Law Society of South Australia. Completion of the program will give students the right of unrestricted practice in South Australia. Students intending, after qualifying for the degree of Bachelor of Laws, to seek admission to practice law in jurisdictions other than South Australia, are strongly advised to seek guidance as soon as possible from the appropriate authorities in these places as to the requirements of admission. |
| Bachelor of Science commencing in Semester 2 (students WITHOUT advanced standing) |
Bachelor of Science students are required to complete at least one major towards their degree. Students commencing this program in Semester 2 will not be able to major in Genetics or Physics. Bachelor of Science students are required to complete at least one major towards their degree. Some pathways may be limited depending on the advanced standing granted. | Master of Business Administration | Bridging Program: All incoming students enrolling in the MBA are required to participate in a two week Bridging Program, which will commence on Monday 9 May 2011 for Trimester 2 commencement or Monday 22 August 2011 for Trimester 3 commencement. This program is designed to introduce new international students to the cultural, social and academic conventions of study at the University of Adelaide and includes course advice and enrolment sessions. Continuing support is available throughout the MBA program in the form of seminars and individual consultations. The provision of learning support is part of the service we provide to international students, to assist and encourage their success. Students who do not arrive in time for the Bridging Program will have to defer their study to the next available intake. |
| Master of Computer Science |
Computer Science Concepts course: The programming language JAVA is the main teaching vehicle for this program. It is assumed that students will be proficient in the JAVA programming language prior to the commencement of their program. The School of Computer Science expects that students will have the knowledge contained in the recommended text book, Big Java by Cay Horstmann, published by J Wiley & Sons, 2002 or later edition. Students should also consult the reference book Java Software Solution by Lewis and Loftus, published by Addison Wesley, 2000 or later edition. Students may wish to audit the Computer Science Concepts course to provide the pre-requisite knowledge of the JAVA programming language. Students who do audit this course will neither be required to pass it nor pay for it. Students intending to complete this course will need to confirme the commencement date with the School of Computer Science and arrive in Adelaide in time for Computer Science Concepts, which will start approximately two weeks before official classes commence. Please note that it will be difficult to progress in your program of study without a strong knowledge of JAVA. |
| Master of International Trade and Development | This multi-disciplinary program with courses taught by the Law School, Institute for International Trade and the School of Economics will permit students to earn a 36-unit Masters degree in one year of full-time study. Students are able to complete the 36 unit program in 12 months, as courses are held over the Summer Semester and Winter Semester, as well as Semesters 1 and 2. |

Master of Oenology, |
Students commencing in 2011 must be present on the first day of classes (July 25). Students arriving late will not be permitted to commence the program until Semester 2, 2012. |
| Master of Petroleum Engineering | Bridging Program: Students commencing this program may be required to attend the one week Master of Petroleum Engineering Bridging Course prior to the start of official classes. This course is designed to provide commencing students with an introduction to the oil and gas industry, covering topics such as oil and business, petroleum engineering, geoscience concepts and an introduction to rock and fluid properties. The course is provided at no extra cost to commencing international students. Students will need to confirm their participation in this Bridging Course with the Australian School of Petroleum upon arrival in Adelaide. |
