International Agents NewsletterVolume 2, No. 25 (7 December 2007) Reminder: opening hours December 2007 and January 2008The University of Adelaide will be closed from 1pm on Friday 21 December 2007 until Tuesday 1 January 2008. Normal business hours will resume on Wednesday 2 January 2008. Application processingAt this time of the year, our admissions staff are focusing on processing offers and Confirmations of Enrolment for students wishing to commence in Semester 1, 2008. Please note that the late closing date for applications to the Bachelor of Commerce is Monday 14 January. Applications received after this date will not be accepted. Acceptance / Confirmation of EnrolmentAll acceptance information should be sent to coe@adelaide.edu.au A reminder that it is important that all of the following information is supplied when accepting an offer for a student (in order to comply with updated ESOS requirements):
Confirmations of enrolment cannot be processed until all information (including tuition fee deposit) is received. Please ensure that payment is sent to us without delay once an offer is received; this will assist the International Office to produce Confirmations of Enrolment promptly and enable students to more quickly apply for their visas. International Office staff profile: Diane DaviesIn this issue we profile Diane Davies, who has worked in the International Office since April 2005 and is responsible for marketing and promotional activities in Korea, Japan, Canada, Mexico and the United States. Diane previously worked with international students at the University of Sydney and the University of South Australia in recruitment, marketing, admissions, study abroad and exchange. Prior to this, Diane worked with students with disabilities at the University of Toronto. Originally from Canada, Diane has a Bachelor degree from the University of Toronto and is a part-time student in the Master of International Studies program at the University of South Australia. Diane is now a proud Canadian-Australian who voted in the recent federal elections. University News: $1 million in software donated to petroleum schoolStudents in the University of Adelaide's Australian School of Petroleum will benefit from a donation of more than $1 million in software from a leading provider of software to the global oil and natural gas industry, Paradigm Geophysical Pty Ltd.
