International Agents NewsletterVolume 2, No. 8 (13 April 2007) International Office email availability and opening hoursDue to a major IT upgrade occurring at the University between 14-17 April inclusive, the International Office will be unable to respond to emails during this time. Normal office hours resume on Thursday 26 April. 2008 PublicationsDistribution of the 2008 Undergraduate and Postgraduate Coursework International Prospectuses is now complete. (The Research Prospectus is currently being updated and will be distributed later in the year.) If you have not yet received copies of the above two publications, or would like additional copies, please contact your dedicated University of Adelaide marketing staff member: Eliza Chui, Diane Davies, Susanne Durkin, Anthony Long, Jane Olsson or Julia Segaran. Upcoming application closing dateAcademic programs for Semester 2, 2007 entry – 1 May 2007 2008 Dentistry Bridging ProgramDue to larger than expected undergraduate class sizes, the School of Dentistry will not be able to offer any places in Bridging Dentistry for 2008. However, applications already received will be held over and may be considered for skills assessment in mid-2008 and entry in 2009. The School is however, able to offer a one semester external course with an on-campus hands-on block to assist with preparation for the examinations of the Australian Dental Council. Please contact Dee Rapaic in the School of Dentistry for information about this non-award course. Eng is an Admissions Officer, and his current portfolio includes undergraduate and postgraduate Commerce, postgraduate Science, and the Master of Business Administration. Prior to joining the International Office team, Eng worked in Canberra at the Department of Education, Science and Training, where he spent time in various sections relating to international education. Eng graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Economics, and enjoys spending his spare time driving and riding his motorbike. Adelaide degree wins high recognitionChinese lawyer Zhenyu Liu will use his newly-acquired Master of Laws from the University of Adelaide to help his company smoothly negotiate changes in domestic law reform. Mr Liu, who works for the law firm Andao Yonghua in southern China, said his year-long study program at the University of Adelaide in 2006 had updated his knowledge in the areas of insolvency, company and competition law – all crucial to his firm's success.
