Important changes for applicants under 18
The University's policy on acceptance of international students aged under 18 years is changing.
Effective immediately, new offers of admission to students who will be aged under 18 years at the commencement date of the CoE will only be made where the student will be living in Adelaide with a parent or an eligible relative.
An eligible relative is defined as a parent (including adoptive), brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister, grandparent, step-grandparent, aunt, uncle, step-aunt, step-uncle, niece, nephew, step-niece or step-nephew over the age of 21 years.
This change affects all NEW offers of admission.
Applicants who have offers of admission made prior to 21 November 2007 will maintain the right to study at the University under the previous arrangements, whereby students must live in University approved accommodation.

Research opportunities in geosciences

International Office staff profile: Merrill Fitzgerald
In this issue we profile Merrill Fitzgerald. Merrill is an administrative assistant in the International Office and has worked here for seven years.
Merrill is primarily responsible for sending offers and associated information to students and agents.
Outside work, Merrill's main passons are her children and grandchildren and her garden. She is also an avid reader and collect stamps.
Advanced notice: opening hours December 2007 and January 2008
The University of Adelaide will be closed from 1pm on Friday 21 December 2007 until Tuesday 1 January 2008. Normal business hours will resume on Wednesday 2 January 2008.
