Welcome to the International Students Newsletter! The newsletter has been developed to supplement the weekly student email. Staff from the ISC will update this Newsletter regularly throughout the year with information about what's on in Adelaide and at the University. Writing Centre Workshops
Workshops ave finished for the semester but the Writing Centre have a free Drop in Service!
Maths Learning Centre (MLC) Seminars
The MLC have a free Drop in Service!
The MLC is open 10am to 4pm weekdays all the way to the end of exams. For times after that, check their webpage.
The Writing Centre &he Maths Learning Centre are located on Level 3 East of Hub Central. All of their Seminars, Workshops and Drop in Service visits are free.

Visit the Multicultural SA online calendar for the latest information on festivals, days of religious significance and other multicultural events in South Australia.
StudyAdelaide
StudyAdelaide host many free or low cost student events run throughout the year. For info on free student events, blogs and competitions, sign up to the StudyAdelaide web today or visit them on Facebook.
York Peninsula Tour
As 2012 comes to an end, Study Adelaide and WoW thought a final tour for the year was in order. Download flyer.
This time we are packing up our beach gear as we head to the destination where the locals holiday ... Yorke Peninsula!
A perfect combination of natural beauty, spectacular beaches, great fishing and an abundance of nature and native animals to enjoy.
Also, a 3 hour surf lesson has been included conducted by the well respected Neptunes Surf Coaching.
Accommodation is located within the National Park and a short stroll to the Stenhouse Jetty and some of the best fishing spots.
The tour has once again been subsidised by Study Adelaide and places for this tour are strictly limited to 20 students.

Playground Finder
The site for information on many of Adelaide's best playgrounds. If you live in one of Adelaide's Central suburbs or feel like taking a drive with the kids, visit the J.R. Langman Reserve at Jervois Ave, West Hindmarsh, SA, 5007. The Playground finder site lists it has toilets, is suitable for toddlers, has sun shade, has seats, has tables, has a BBQ, has car parking, and it is near a bikepath.

Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY – the 25th Anniversary Tour
Exclusive Australian performance by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra

Welcome to Australia's new initiative for international students
Enhance Australia
Funded by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship through the Diversity and Social Cohesion Program, Enhance Australia aims to assist international students to feel welcome in their off-campus community. Using members of the Australian community to boost an international student's support network, the program will build the capacity of international students to establish support networks in their local communities.

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) have published a fact sheet about visa compliance. For information about Visa administration, study tips, living and work tips, visa cancellation or contacting the department please see the fact sheet.
Recent changes to General Skilled Migration
On 8 February 2010, the Australian Government announced a number of changes to its skilled migration program. These changes included the withdrawal of the Migration Occupation in Demand List (MODL) and the introduction of a new Skilled Occupation List (SOL).
